Sista Sound presents: Özge Ürer, Deniz Taşar, Kamucan Yalçın & Ana Flávia
Turkey’s first women-led music collective Sista Sound takes the stage at the invitation of Akbank Jazz Festival with a brand-new project. Four powerful women artists from diverse musical backgrounds, Özge Ürer, Deniz Taşar, Kamucan Yalçın, and Ana Flávia, come together for the first time exclusively for the festival. In this special gathering, many colors of world music meet the improvisational spirit of jazz. Alternative genres, electronic textures, Latin and Brazilian rhythms, and contemporary jazz nuances intertwine to create a broad musical spectrum through original compositions and the artists’ own works. The evening will be kicked off by Ana Flávia, followed by the distinctive vocals of Özge Ürer and Deniz Taşar, and complemented with the wind instruments and synth layers of Kamucan Yalçın. Together, these four remarkable women will deliver a performance where the groove never drops, and invite the audience for a one-of-a-kind journey.
