Burak Göral, Selin Gürel and Melikşah Altuntaş will share their valuable views in the field of film criticism with the festival followers.
Selin Gürel
Selin Gürel was born in 1982, Istanbul. She graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Sociology in 2005. She started to write about cinema in 2002 and contributed to Altyazı, Prömiyer, Film+, Bant and Empire magazines. From 2006 until the closing of the magazine, she worked as the news editor of Total Film. From 2008 until the closing, she worked as the editor of CNBC-e Magazine. She has been writing for Milliyet Sanat and Vogue for many years. She is a member of the Cinema Writers Association (SİYAD).
Burak Göral
Born in Istanbul, Burak Göral is a film critic / journalist / writer / screenwriter who has chosen to be a part of cinema despite his graduation from Marmara University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. He has written cinema articles for Genç Boyut, Sinema Dergisi, Milliyet – ek yayınlar, Esquire dergisi, Yeni Yüzyıl – Café Pazar. In the same period, he worked as an assistant director in the film “Bir Erkeğin Anatomisi” by Yavuz Özkan. He produced radio programs for a brief period. He worked as a script consultant and worked for some internet projects.
From 2004 to 2008, he worked as a film critic in Posta newspaper regularly and some magazines and news outlets. He was the editor in chief of “DVD+” magazine, Turkey's first Home and Technology magazine. Göral has published three cinema books, written 3 feature films ("Gece 11.45", "Beni Unutma", "Bu İşte Bir Yalnızlık Var"). As well as being a critic, he works as a screenwriter and script consultant.
Melikşah Altuntaş
He has been working as a cinema writer and editor in Bant Mag. since 2006. He started writing for Bant Mag. when he was a student at Istanbul University, philosophy department. In addition to writing cinema articles in magazines and newspapers, he also has been working as a writer and editor on various television and film productions. Since 2010, he has been working as writer and editor in various TV series, web series and television programs. In 2012, he also directed the first feature film Görünmeyenler. After participating in the management of the International Antalya Film Festival, he worked as a consultant, writer and producer on various feature films.
