Keeping Track of the Musical Journey Workshop with Üretim Kaydı
Every musical journey is woven not only with notes, but also with moments of inspiration, long breaks, giving up, and starting over. Some days şnspiration arrives like an unexpected guest, other days it slips away like a shadow through an open door. Should we wait for it, or chase after it? Üretim Kaydı has been exploring these questions, documenting the creative processes, silences, trials, backstage stories, and restarting moments of musicians over five seasons. After all, creativity is not only about the end results. It is the sum of the path, the pauses, the experiments, and even the mistakes along the way.
The workshop begins with the question: “Why should a musician document their own creative process?” Facilitated by Esra Ece Kuleci, with guest Maya Perest sharing her inspiring experiences, the session will explore how documenting creativity can deepen our connections with ourselves and with our listeners.
Taking place on October 4 at Zuhal Müzik Kanyon as part of the 35th Akbank Jazz Festival, the workshop will introduce practical methods for making your creative process visible and offer a reflective space that can one day become a source of renewed inspiration.
