Exploring Distance: What’s Out There? (Ages 7-11)

In this workshop, each child explores their own concept of “distance” through imagination and personal experience. For some, “far away” might mean a high mountain; for others, a future day, a place beyond the stars, or the longing for someone they love.
The session begins with a free discussion around the question “What could ‘far’ mean?” Children share examples from their daily lives, dreams, and fairy tales. Each participant then visualizes their personal idea of “far” using the doodle technique. This method provides a mysterious narrative language and encourages children to create freely.
