Copykiller brings together 20 artists works in 3 different groupings. The exhibition was born out of curator Adnan Yıldız’s invitation that denotes “how can you save yourself from the copykiller in you? How far can you go?”. Contemporary art, in developing countries like Turkey, is like a potted plant – it has its limitations. When we think about how “authentic” the art is, we realize every artist is forced to copycat their art from the West. Artist is forced to copycat, and while he steals, he also kills.
