“HOPSCOTCH / A Beyoglu Tab”
A seminar in flux

We are in Istanbul. The district is Beyoğlu. It is a visual and verbal cross-section of today, a path in the city that endeavors to break away from the metanarratives about this place, the city it belongs to, everyday life, the environment, and history. Pacing. Hopping.
We will explore the features of Beyoğlu through various topologies and urban fragments. A route leading to documenting, interpreting, witnessing, showing, participating, and intervening. A periodical urban record with the participation of a guest in each episode and a different theme and typology in each episode. A brief urban documentation about the theme followed by screening, sharing and joint evaluation, discussion, chatting, and gossiping.
Intended to be a visual, interactive and interdisciplinary work on the city, everyday life, environment and history, the screening and seminar program "HOPSCOTCH / A Beyoğlu Tab" will explore the features of Beyoğlu through different elements. The program, in which visits and conversations of Cem Sorguç and his guests invited for each theme are recorded in the relevant places, will be followed by discussion after the screening of the video.
* The seminars will be held in Turkish. To participate in the seminars within the program, you can go to the event page of the seminar you want to attend and create your registration using the "Register" button on the page. Registrations for each seminar will be opened 5 days before the event date on the detail page of the relevant event and the "Register" button will be visible. All events are free and participation is limited by quota.
