Born in 1990 in Cizre, Mehmet Gürü Avcu graduated from the Marmara University, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema. He worked as a camera operator in programs for various television channels including TRT Çocuk, TRT Documentary, Bein Connect, and Sky Türk. He worked as a director of photography for the documentary Eski Evler ve Karayemişler. His latest project is the documentary Munzur, which he produced and directed. He continues to work as a camera operator, editor and director of photography for various projects.
