Bahar (45) and Tamer (45) are newlyweds, each with a young daughter from a previous marriage. As they unpack their new home in a desolate coastal town, they receive tragic news: the girls have sailed off on a boat, and one has drowned. Is it Bahar’s or Tamer’s daughter?

Biography

Murat completed his undergraduate studies in Cinema and Television at Istanbul Bilgi University. His first two short films were screened at reputable national and international film festivals. He completed his MA degree in Screenwriting at The London Film School in the UK. After completing all courses as a scholarship student in the PhD program in Media Studies at Yeditepe University, he transferred to the Proficiency in Art program in Cinema at Maltepe University and graduated from there. His third short film Sonsuz / Ad Infinitum had its world premiere at the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival and competed in over 45 festivals, including BAFTA Qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival. He currently works as a lecturer at Istanbul Bilgi University, Beykoz University, and Okan University. A Family is his fourth short film.
