Part fiction, part experiment, and purposefully blurring the distinction, Here, Here reimagines a once undisturbed town years after mining operations began. Koi and his mother Tonet await Koi’s father, both of them clueless as to whether he could make it home alive after an accident in the extraction tunnel.

Joanne Cesario grew up in the Province of Batangas and moved to Manila to pursue film studies at the University of the Philippines. Working across film, publishing, and photography, she melds personal and collective histories on female identity, labor, and ever-shifting landscapes and spaces.
