Contemporary Dance Program, which its art direction and program content organized by LOCART, begins at Akbank Sanat!
Program will be held in October 2019 - May 2020 period and aims to educate dance artists who have mastered contemporary dance techniques, worked with many choreographers, experienced different styles and are active in their field.
The program coordinated by Tuğrul Savaşçı, run by a staff of Akbank Sanat’s dance atelier, who has worked as a dancer, choreographer and trainer, and has also worked with world famous choreographers.
Alper Marangoz, Bengi Sevim, Beril Şenöz, Evrim Akyay, Korhan Başaran and Tuğrul Savaşçı are the instructors of the Contemporary Dance Program.
PROGRAM CONTENT
Program, I. Semester (October - January) and II. Semester (February - May) period will last for a total of 8 months.
The program consists of two groups: Dance Artist Development (Group I) and Dance Artist Education (Group II).
Contemporary dance technique will be at the forefront of the program and dancers will also participate in workshops combined with their instructor's own dance styles.
At the end of the program, the dancers will perform on behalf of the repertoire that will continue throughout the program.
In the program, there will be a total of 120 classes, 4 classes per week including repertoire studies.
The quota for each group is limited to 25 people.
The groups will be formed as a result of the selection and evaluation exam (auditions).
