Aridu - Galactic DJ

Interactive Theatre Performance

For children 7 years and above, 35 minutes

Years ago while he was on an interplanetary tour, The Voyager 2 Gold Record (*) which humans sent into space came DJ Aridu’s way. Being clumsy, Aridu breaks the record. He sets on a journey to get a new one and comes to Planet Earth. Teramix, a Jupiterian robot that is out of order, unexpectedly emerges from Aridu’s ship. Melizma, the soul of the music on Earth, comes to help both Aridu and Teramix. However, Melizma needs their assistance too.

This innovative performance is about accepting differences, understanding each other without speaking the same language, friendship and overcoming problems through creativity. The performance has interactive elements that connect its audiences with the story. Aridu is a multidisciplinary performance that is a fusion of body percussion, magic, contemporary dance, pantomime and soundpainting.
