Pırlangıç Children's Jazz Concert with Berrin Çopur
Pırlangıç (Children's Jazz Album), created by Berrin Çopur in collaboration with musician and composer Alim Kurtmemetov, is an innovative jazz project composed specifically for children. Setting out with the motto "New things must be said now," this entertaining project invites young listeners to an acoustic concert experience with original jazz songs. With lyrics by Berrin Çopur and the majority of the compositions by Alim Kurtmemetov, the Pırlangıç songs embody a colorful musical spectrum extending from jazz to world music. The concert, part of the 36th Akbank Jazz Festival and taking place at the Süleyman Seba Cultural and Arts Center on October 3, allows children to both develop their musical ear and experience live concert culture together with their families. Supported by polyphonic vocal arrangements, the performance breathes new life into the concept of children's concerts.
