Jazz Network Panel: Can the Media in Turkey Keep Up with the Rhythm of Jazz?
The panel Can the Media in Turkey Keep Up with the Rhythm of Jazz?: Jazz Media and Communication in Turkey will examine how, and to what extent jazz and improvisational music have been represented in Turkey’s press and media outlets. Bringing together participants from diverse backgrounds, the discussion will address the state of jazz journalism in Turkey, the visibility of jazz-related content in the media, and the reasons behind its presence (or absence). Aiming to offer a multifaceted perspective shaped by voices from both the media and music scenes, the panel will take place on October 4 at Salon İKSV as part of the 35th Akbank Jazz Festival.
