JAmZZ Jam Session

Young jazz talents meet jazz masters on the Bova stage for the final night of the JAmZZ Masterclass program.

Created as an Improvisational Jazz Masterclass program, JAmZZ will conclude this weekend’s workshops with an unforgettable jam session night on Sunday, May 17 at 10:00 PM at Bova.

Barış Doğukan Yazıcı, Ediz Hafızoğlu, Sibel Köse, Şevket Akıncı, Yeşim Pekiner, Phil Grenadier and Dave Limina will share the stage with this year’s JAmZZ Masterclass participants.

* Created to support young musicians and open new spaces for emerging talent, the JAmZZ Masterclass program is realized within the scope of the 36th Akbank Jazz Festival through the collaboration of Akbank Sanat, BAU Conservatory, and Berklee College of Music.

Having released numerous recordings to date under labels like Blue Note, EmArcy, and Atlantic, James Carter will be a guest of the 36th Akbank Jazz Festival with a concert at the Zorlu PSM Turkcell Platinum Stage on October 3, as part of the Coltrane: A Centennial Supreme tour.

Concert Sibel Köse "From Vistula to Bosphorus: A Jazz Bridge"

This special night will take place at Akatlar Cultural Center on October 4, and invites listeners to witness the unifying power across geographies of jazz through a cultural bridge extending from Warsaw to Istanbul.

L’Antidote will take the stage at ARTER on the evening of October 4 as part of the 36th Akbank Jazz Festival, in collaboration with ARTER.

Concert Arturo Sandoval

Defined by the London Evening Star as "the sort of virtuoso artist who comes along only once or twice in a generation," Sandoval will take the stage on October 8 at Zorlu PSM Turkcell Platinum Stage as part of the 36th Akbank Jazz Festival.
