Book Club: Books That Spark Thinking on Production

Book: On Connection - Kae Tempest

Time: 18:30 – 20.00

Speaker: Nezaket Erden

Moderator: Esra Ece Kuleci

In this gathering, we will meet with actress Nezaket Erden and, starting from On Connection, discuss how our need for attachment and togetherness can be met through creativity. Together, we will explore the “invisible bonds” that connect us to one another.

Nezaket Erden completed her undergraduate studies in Philosophy at Galatasaray University and went on to earn a master’s degree in Acting (Film and Drama) at Kadir Has University. One of the founders of Theatre Hemhâl, Erden received numerous theatre awards for her performance in Sevgili Arsız Ölüm Dirmit. She has been honored with Best Actress awards by the Theatre Critics’ Association, the Sadri Alışık Awards, Direklerarası Awards, and the Üstün Akmen Awards, and was nominated for the Afife Jale Awards for Best Actress in two consecutive years. She has also received Best Actor awards named after Savaş Dinçel and Erol Keskin. After winning the Best Supporting Actress award at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival for her role in İnsanlar İkiye Ayrılır, she received the same award again the following year for her performance in İki Şafak Arasında.

Most recently, she has appeared on stage in Şimdi and Aşık Shakespeare. She has also acted in the Netflix series Pera Palace and İstanbul Ansiklopedisi. Continuing to perform on stage with Sevgili Arsız Ölüm Dirmit and En Sevdiğinden Başla, Erden remains actively involved in theatre, cinema, and television.
