The documentary, in which Van der Keuken examines the Wadden Sea from the perspective of a city dweller, deals with the relationship between the tiny and the fascinating in this flat "forest". The documentary, which questions the extinction of coasts and employment in the maritime sector due to industrialization, reminds us of the struggle and cycle of marine organisms, which form the basis of the life chain, in the silent sea.
