JAZZ ONLY
Between 03-12 October 2002, everything that has to do with jazz will fill the gap the 11th Akbank Jazz Festival has left behind.
12th Akbank Jazz Festival will once again bring together musicians and an audience who will be bathed in jazz only, who perceive and cherish only jazz, in special venues where the heart of modern metropolitan life beats.
Just like the previous years, Aya İrini Museum, Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall, Babylon and Venue-Maslak in İstanbul, HiltonSA and ODTÜ in Ankara will be vibrating once again with the sound of jazz for 10 days.
The most distinguished melodies, subtly enriched with various musical colors extending from blues to trip hop and acid jazz to sufi tunes, always maintaining their esence of pure esence of pure jazz. This, performed by worldwide acclaimed musicians, will pervade the whole city.
All sounds, except for those within the realm of jazz, will be put to silence during the 12th Akbank Jazz Festival. Silence will be broken by jazz only.
