11th Akbank Short Film Festival

11th Akbank Short Film Festival

Akbank Short Film Festival celebrates its 11th Anniversary. 11 years ago, it set out on this journey to promote short film production which has been going through an ongoing progress; support young directors; boost the visibility of their creativity; build a platform in the field of short film; and introduce the short film format to a larger group of audience.

The festival program includes "Festival Shorts", "World Shorts", "From Short to Long", "Experiences", "Documentary Cinema", "Out of Competition", "Special Screening" as well as workshop activities and talks.

Aiming to become a production- and information-exchange platform for short film enthusiasts for 11 years, the Festival features award-winning films within the scope of the "Award-Winning Films at Universities" event which will be held in 40 universities, including those in Istanbul, Eskişehir, Izmir, Gaziantep, Erzurum, Elazığ, Adana, Mersin, Zonguldak, Çanakkale, Kayseri and Ankara.

This year, the Festival accepts international applications for the first time. Besides, it will also include a new section this year, in addition to the National Competition tradition: International Competition. The filmmakers of the "Best Films" in the National Competition and International Competition will be awarded with 5.000 USD.

Akbank Short Film Festival will be held on 16 - 26 March, 2015. You can follow the festival news through Akbank Sanat's website and social media accounts.

Application period for the 11th Akbank Short Film Festival has ended.
