Submissions for the 23rd Akbank Short Film Festival Are Now Open
Aiming to support short film as an independent field of cinematic production, to bring qualified short films from all around the world and meet the audience, to encourage the works of emerging filmmakers, and to contribute to the development of short film culture, the festival will be held for the 23rd time between the dates of 16–24 March 2027.
23rd Akbank Short Film Festival – International Competition
Submissions are now open for the festival’s International Short Film Competition. The international competition welcomes submissions of shorts in all themes and genres. The competition is open to all regions of the world and accepts films with under 30 minutes in duration, and a minimum of 1 minute running time.
Submissions will be accepted until 11 December 2026 (23:59). Submission guideline and online form for the international competition can be accessed under the relevant sections below.
*As part of the submission process, a scanned copy of the completed form with wet signature must be sent to AkbankKisaFilmFestivali@akbank.com, with the subject line formatted as Name_Surname_Film Title, as specified in the submission guidelines. After completing the online submission, applicants will be able to access a printable version of the completed form through a designated button.
