This Is Our Table (Ages 5-8)

In this workshop, children transform their favorite foods into a form of artistic expression! They lay the foundation for sustainable relationships by creating tables using recyclable materials. Imagining that we are neighbors living in the same apartment building, we choose our own recipes for a grand feast we will host together around a long table in the garden in the evening. Then, by painting and transforming waste materials through cutting and pasting, we set up our table for this imaginary feast.
By creatively reusing waste materials that we frequently encounter in daily life, children explore sharing, collective production, and sustainability through artistic creation.

* The event will be held in collaboration with Sakıp Sabancı Museum at the Sakıp Sabancı Museum, Sera Workshop.

* The event requires a ticket for entry. Tickets can be purchased through the Sakıp Sabancı Museum’s website by clicking the “Buy Ticket” button. The workshop ticket price is equivalent to the museum entrance fee. With each purchased ticket, one child may participate in the workshop while one accompanying adult may visit the museum.
