We examine the fragility of modern relationships through Zygmunt Bauman’s concept of Liquid Love. Is committing to someone a form of submission or the end of freedom? We combine the endless oscillation between dependency and autonomy with Russ Harris’s warning of "the happiness trap." In love, is daring to feel everything more liberating than merely aiming to be happy?
