Teacher Training

Instructor: Barış Karayazgan

Dates: May 4-7, 2026

Time: 20:00 - 22:30

Starting from the question “What do you think artis?”, this four-day teacher training delves into questions like “Why do children create art?”, “What is talent and is it necessary?”, and “Can everyone be an artist?”. This creative discussion environment is designed for teachers and teacher candidates. The program is led by N. Barış Karayazgan, an artist and founder of the PACE Children’s Art Center, who has been working with children and youth in the field of art for 25 years. This engaging and thought-provoking practical learning program is conducted online, providing an alternative perspective on how we should communicate with children during art activities and what methods we should use.

May 4, Monday: “What do you think art and talent are?”

May 5, Tuesday: “Children, Education, and Art”

May 6, Wednesday: “Art Projects for Children”

May 7, Thursday: “Practical Example Activities”

We invite all teachers, teacher candidates, workshop facilitators, and coordinators who wish to share their views on what children can gain through art to join this online seminar series, where various disciplines and artists’ works will be examined, followed by practical applications.

* Participation for all 4 days is required. The program will be conducted online via Zoom to allow participation from instructors across all regions of Turkey. The seminar will be held in Turkish.

* You can register for the program by clicking the "Register" button on the page. Registrations will open one week before the event (on 27.04.2026, at 20:00), and the "Register" button will become visible. Participation in the program is free of charge but limited in capacity.
