The Akbank Short Film Forum, which will be held within the scope of the 16th Akbank Short Film Festival, aims to increase short film production opportunities, encourage production, and support films from the initial idea stage. The short film scriptwriting contest and training sessions are held at the Akbank Short Film Forum, which will be organized from March 18th to 20th, 2020. From among the 752 applicant projects, 8 scripts are chosen as finalists as a result of the preselection committee’s evaluations. After finalist project owners’ 15 minute presentations to jury members, one project will earn the Akbank Short Film Forum Best Script Award. In this section, award-winning director and writer Melik Saraçoğlu will do a scriptwriting workshop.
