Akbank Sanat Literature Talks
“Do Humans Change?”
Prepared and presented by: Didem Bayındır & Başak Gürbüz
Literature is one of the most powerful realms of thought and feeling through which human beings try to understand and narrate themselves and the world. In this series of gatherings held under the roof of Akbank Sanat, we will look at humanity and the world through six different windows in time, by way of the different narrative universes literature offers.
On this journey led by Didem Bayındır and Başak Gürbüz Bilsel, we will follow a literary route that reveals change to be as difficult as it is inevitable, while pursuing one fundamental question: Does a person change?
Inviting participants to think together about the contradictions of being human, the breaking points of existence, and the possibilities of life on earth, the series will bear witness to humanity's individual and social transformations in the light of narratives that swing between hope and reality.
