Where Do You Draw the Line?
Talks and Workshop Program
Where Do You Draw the Line? talks and workshop program invites us to think and speak together for a more just and inclusive future, inspired by the experiences of women filmmakers working behind the camera. Organized in collaboration with the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema at Kadir Has University, the program aims to make women’s labor in cinema visible while building a collective memory of production processes, discussing structural inequalities in the industry, and imagining spaces for transformation together.
In conversations with women who take active roles in different fields such as cinematography, editing, sound, production, and directing, we will explore how women’s experiences intersect with the entrenched hierarchies of the industry—what we might call “above and below the line.” Alongside the talks, the program will include workshops and roundtable meetings that expand spaces of collective creation and learning, envisioning concrete pathways for mentorship, networking, solidarity, and policy proposals.
* Where Do You Draw the Line? talks and workshop program will take place at Kadir Has University.
