Learning Program An Alternative View on Art and Children
Starting from the question “What do you think artis?”, this four-day teacher training delves into questions like “Why dochildren create art?”, “What is talent and is it necessary?”, and “Can everyonebe an artist?”. This creative discussion environment is designed for teachersand teacher candidates.
Workshop JAmZZ Masterclass Program
You are invited to the JAmZZ Masterclass program, which aims to provide new talents a space and support young musicians through the courtesy of collaborations with Bahçeşehir University Conservatory and Zuhal Music as a part of 35th Akbank Jazz Festival on September 13-14 at Bahçeşehir University Pera Stage.
Learning Program Material: Plants
September 15 - 18, 2025 / The learning program, which will examine the relationship and contradictions between contemporary art and ecology through the production practices of different artists each month, aims to introduce young artists to contemporary works and diverse perspectives through the concept of "material."
Exhibition Contemporary Istanbul 20th Edition
Kounellis observed actors on stage, and painted them. Kounellis was into the heart of the matter, the poorness and acting. These paintings, exhibited here for the first time, under the sun, were born in and of the underworld.
Concert İlhan Erşahin’s İstanbul Sessions
Istanbul Sessions, taking the stage on September 27 at Müze Gazhane for the opening night of the 35th Akbank Jazz Festival, brings together master-level musicianship with high eclecticism, where the cliché of “east-to-west crossover” finds its true sense and power.
Concert Nilüfer Verdi Trio Playing Tunes for Peace
In addition to her musical output, the pianist Nilüfer Verdi creates works that raise awareness through her activism. As part of the 35th Akbank Jazz Festival, she will take the stage with her trio to play songs for peace on September 27 at Yeldeğirmeni Arts Center.
Concert Kind of Six
Four young musicians who won the Akbank Jazz Festival Award at the 20th Nardis Young Jazz Musician Competition will take the stage on September 28 at Yeldeğirmeni Art Center.
Concert Maya Perest
Describing and channeling her music as “modern-day shamanism,” Maya Perest will take the stage at Sakıp Sabancı Museum during the opening weekend of the Akbank Jazz Festival.
Concert Raül Refree Presents “El Espacio Entre”
Raül Refree is one of the most acclaimed Spanish producers of the last decade. The musician, who releases his solo work under the name Refree, will take the stage at the 35th Akbank Jazz Festival with a performance at Yeldeğirmeni Arts Center on September 28, presenting his album El Espacio Entre (2023, Glitterbeat).
Concert Ahmet Ali Arslan “Manastır”
Ahmet Ali Arslan will bring the pastoral tones of his latest album Manastır to Moda All Saints Church on September 30.
Conversation Beni Bu Şarkılar Mahvetti: 35th Akbank Jazz Festival Special Edition
Beni Bu Şarkılar Mahvetti (The Songs That Destroyed Me) has been a recurring event series curated by Bant Mag., since 2018. For this special edition the guests include: Ayben and 3pillie, two of the artists performing in the festival’s Jazz Meets Rap concert, along with Aydın Dorsay, General Director of Borusan Sanat.
Concert Sista Sound presents: Özge Ürer, Deniz Taşar, Kamucan Yalçın & Ana Flávia
Turkey’s first women-led music collective Sista Sound takes the stage at the invitation of Akbank Jazz Festival with a brand-new project. Together, these four remarkable women will deliver a performance where the groove never drops, and invite the audience for a one-of-a-kind journey.
